The 30th Anniversary of Nobeyama Radio Observatory. This conference will be held in Hakone, Japan, on December 3-8 2012.

2012-07-23 Conference "The First Year of ALMA Science":
The Joint ALMA Observatory announces that the international conference "The First Year of ALMA Science" will be held in Hotel Cumbres Patagonicas, Puerto Varas, Chile on December 12-15 2012.

2012-06-01 tuCASA - ASIAA ALMA User Workshop on June 09, 2012:
The UCAT Center for ALMA Science Advancement (tuCASA) of the University Consortium of ALMA-Taiwan (UCAT) and the ALMA Regional Center (Taiwan-ARC) of ASIAA are pleased to host jointly the ALMA User Workshop 2012 for potential ALMA users in Taiwan. Registration is now open!

2012-05-31 ALMA Turns its Eyes to Centaurus A:
A new image of the center of the distinctive galaxy Centaurus A, made with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), shows how the new observatory allows astronomers to see through the opaque dust lanes that obscure the galaxy’s center, with unprecedented quality.

2012-05-31 ALMA Taiwan Mock Review:
The Taiwan ARC node will hold a mock review of ALMA proposals for Cycle 1. This mock review is mainly targeted at new users, postdocs, and students in Taiwan. Nonetheless, all Taiwanese users are welcome to submit their proposals. Mock proposal submission deadline: 22 June 2012.

2012-05-31 ALMA Call for Proposals for Cycle 1:
The ALMA Director, on behalf of the Joint ALMA Observatory (JAO) and the three partner organizations in East Asia, Europe and North America, is pleased to announce the release of the Early Science Cycle 1 Call for Proposals. Proposal submission deadline: 12 July 2012 (15:00 UT). Please note that Taiwanese user now only need one user account.

2012-04-17 Third installment of Science Verification data of ALMA:
The third installment of Science Verification data is now available. Taiwanese users can ask the ARC to help to get these data. They are all locally available at ASIAA.

2012-04-12 Press-release:
Press Release of the Cycle 0 result: ALMA Reveals Workings of Nearby Planetary System.

2012-04-04 Pre-announcement for Cycle 1:
(JAO) expects to start the next cycle of Early Science observations (Cycle 1) in January 2013.

2012-02-15 ALMA First Science Workshop:
An international conference focusing on the first science results from ALMA will be held in Chile in December 12-15 2012.

2012-02-03 Status Report:
The Cycle 0 observing period will be extended until the end of 2012. The proposal deadline of Cycle 1 is expected to be in July 2012.

On January 4, the ALMA East Asia Front-End Integration Center (EA-FEIC) completed the last Atacama Compact Array (ACA) receiver system.
