ALMA-TAIWAN:ENGINEERING TARGETS
- Front End Integration Center (FEIC)
In 2006, ASIAA-Taiwan has taken on the responsibility to establish the Front-End Integration Center for assembling and evaluating all receiver systems for the ACA antennas, with the collaboration with the Aeronautical Research Laboratory (ARL) in Chun-Shan Institute of Science. Lab establishment : The preliminary design review has been carried out in 2006 Dec. The FEIC Laboratory is aiming to be established in 2007 Jun. Manpower training : ARL engineers to NRAO for developing their familiarity and understanding of the installation, testing and diagnosis of the Front End system both in hardware and software. In 2008, ALMA-Taiwan is expected to begin delivering receiver systems for the ACA in Chile.
